best songs from movies: the 90s edition (part 2)

it’s pretty apparent that the 90s suck compared to the 80s.

10. i don’t wanna miss a thing by aerosmith (armageddon)

wow. look how many famous people are in this movie! what a cast. i never saw it, but i know the song. everyone knows the song, right? aerosmith is to 90s movies as kenny loggins is to 80s movies. well actually, bryan adams is probably more like kenny loggins. he’ll be on the list too, don’t worry. god, doesnt this song like stick in your head forever?
9. my heart will go on by celine dion (titanic)
ugh. yeah this song is super shitty. but its still super 90s and stuff. idk i guess its one of the best from the 90s? maybe not. celine dion sucks. but you cant associate this song without the movie and the movie without the song. so it works.
8. i believe i can fly by r. kelly (space jam)
oh michael jordan. why space jam? whyyy!?? anyway r. kelly was totes in his prime when he did this show stopping number about believing he can fly. he believes he can touch the sky and he thinks about it every night and day. that sounds creepy.
7. everything i do by bryan adams (robin hood: prince of thieves)
ok so heres a bryan adams song. obvi. this songs lame, just like bryan adams. and this movie. fuck this movie man. and this stupid music video with him walking towards the camera. shuddup.

6. men in black by will smith (men in black)
remember when will smith had tons of popular songs? like men in black. and wild wild west. and like… miami summertime or something. this movie was huge. so huge that i think i saw it like 3 times in the theatre. gross. and i think i had a choreographed dance to the song too. yuck.
5. again by janet jackson (poetic justice)
slow jamzzzz. 4eva. this movie had a lot of swearing in it. a lot a lot. it was gnarly from what i can remember. but this song is like sweet and pretty. what a juxtaposition, huh.
4. get it right by kid n play (class act)
god this movie is awesome. kid n play have to perform at an anti drug rally at their highschool because like, theyre black, so they rap i guess. and they do. they do rap. theres no video of them doing the performance on youtube, unless you wanna watch a 10 min clip. (6:15)
3. perfect world by alias (don’t tell mom the babysitters dead)
this song is perfect in the movie because like its all sad hairband ballad and they play it when xtina breaks up with her dude and she stalks him outside of his job from her car. so good.
2.  ninja rap by vanilla ice (teenage mutant ninja turtles 2)
vanilla ice took moviegoers by storm when he performed this rap number about ninjas and rapping. and then like the turtles dance to it. it could have been #1 but the lyrics arent that awesome.
1. addams family groove by mc hammer (addams family)
this song is rad. for being an mc hammer song for a movie in the 90s and all. and the lyrics are just so clever. “they do what they wanna do, say what they wanna say, live how they wanna live, play how they wanna play, dance how they wanna dance, kick and they slap a friend.” wow. good lyrics.
this was the worst top 10 i’ve ever done. sorry you guys.
