top 10 movies where actors went full retard
not the most sensitive or pc top 10, but one that needs to be done… for our society.
10. molly: elizabeth shue
in 1999, elizabeth shue played an autistic woman aptly named molly, who gets naked a lot. a lot, a lot. pretty sure she interrupts important business meetings and stuff like that too, but i dont remember. the movie sucked.
9. radio: cuba goodin’ jr
did anyone see this movie? i havent but it seems awesome. cuba goes by the nickname radio, i think because he carries a radio a lot. he befriends the football coach at his high school (high school? really?) and becomes mega popular and legendary. cute.
8. little nicky: adam sandler
nooo, not the waterboy. little nicky. i thought this movie was a joke when i first saw it because of how adam sandler acts in it. someone actually directed him and thought he was doing a great job. and he makes THAT face the entire movie. and talks out of the side of his mouth. and that face. ugh.
7. rain man/whats eating gilbert grape: dustin hoffman and leo dicaprio
these are two movies where it’s safe to say these were wise career decisions or whatevs. they do great, academy awards, yada yada yada.
6. star wars ep 1: the phantom menace: jar jar binks
what a stupid ass bitch character. i think hes mentally challenged, right? not sure. think so.
5. forrest gump: tom hanks
forrest gump sits on benches and talks to people, or talks to no one about all the bullshit things hes done in his life. its all bullshit. forrest gump did nothing but like eat chocolate and sit on benches. i guess he didnt go FULL retard, but he was close.
4. the other sister: juliette lewis and giovanni ribisi
two actors going full retard in one movie. nice. they are the cutest couple in this movie but their parents dont want them to date and stuff so its all romeo and juliet-y. but serious props for acting on this one. they sure went for it alright. lolz.
3. theres something about mary: w. earl brown
yeah everyone knows this one. warren is the lovable brother of mary. and he loves ear muffs, baseballs, and pork and stuff.
2. the goonies: sloth
sloth is misunderstood because of his harsh facial features, but when chunk and the gang get to know him, they find out hes as sweet as can be. and he helps save them and stuff.
1. riding the bus with my sister: rosie o’donnell
ftw, rosie. no one was bolder in a performance than she was. she went for it and came out on top, i guess. this made for tv movie really showcased rosies acting chops, but i dont think shes gotten many roles since. maybe its because she could never outshine andie mcdowell, devil in the flesh. this was rosies turn, andie. stop existing please.
*honorable mention: pee-wees big adventure: paul reubens
ok yes, one could argue this, but pee-wee does a lot of weird shit. cmon think about it. its true. i think he might be mentally challenged.
my favorite director as of this minute of today is steve miner. i love to make things, drink too much, angrily debate about horror movies, happily discuss full house, and buy home decor and clothing with animals on them. wolves and kittens mostly. i also love thousand island, the movie zapped (and the soundtrack), and keith david. and despite all this, i was really popular in high school!
